KALAIS COUTURE
Kalais Couture was a dream that began in 2015. As an electrical engineer, a wife, and a mother of 4 children, I found it very difficult to start a business while managing work and my home life. In 2017, my father, who was my biggest encourager passed away due to cancer and later in 2018, I suffered a stroke. The death of my father and the hardship of recovering from a stroke, helped me to realize that God was saying to me, “Now is the time to allow Him to use me and manifest my dream”. All I had to do was wait for God to release me. In March of 2020, in the midst of CoVid-19, was when Kalais Couture was born. Kalais Couture seemed like the perfect name for many perfect reasons. “Kalais” pays homage to my father and my children whose names all starts with the letter K (ages 19,15, 6 and 3). The design, which was done by Mehbub, was confirmation that the Lord was saying “This is the time”. In the design, the L from Kalais and the T from Couture forms a cross. The horizontal part of the cross represents the spiritual relationship between my husband and I, whereas the vertical part represents the spiritual relationship between God and us. The four points of the cross represent my four children. The dove represents my father who passed away. Blue represents peace between us all and orange was my father’s favorite color. You should know Mehbub knew none of this when he designed it and presented it to me.
The Word says that you should leave an inheritance for your children and Kalais Couture will one day be theirs. I’ve had the pleasure of caring for and dressing two boys and two girls who all had their own styles, so I’ve had to do a lot of research in finding the cutest clothes for both my boys and my girls. In addition, my youngest son was allergic to almost every type of material and ointment, so I had to learn how to become a cloth diapering mom and use all-natural products. With 19 years of experience, I hope that Kalais Couture becomes your one stop shop to find all of the cutest and unique clothes and accessories for your boys and girls, no matter their age. WHERE GRACE ABOUNDS
As I reflect over my life with the beautiful children that God has blessed me with, I have come to realize that all of the ups and downs, uncertainties and hardships have led me here; to creating a place where mothers could find cute, stylish, and modest clothes for their children without leaving their home. As mothers, we already have our hands full. It’s just not always convenient to go inside a store with a fussy baby and/or active toddler. Remembering to take everything you need out of the car to occupy your child or to change soiled clothes every single time can get a bit overwhelming. As I prayed for guidance in creating my site, it is you, busy mothers and fathers that I kept in mind. God gave me a glimpse of how my life was when my children were infants. I needed convenience and something both my kids and I would love. My four kids have their own personalities and their own unique personal styles. From dresses and suits to play clothes and costumes, they have worn them all. From disposable diapers and formula to cloth diapers and breast milk, I have done it all. My kids have been the biggest joy and best experience I could have ever had. We at Kalais Couture want to make your experience in dressing your little one the best ever, without leaving the comfort of your home.
